What it means, what you're committing to, and how to prepare your family for this milestone.
Child dedication is a moment of public commitment. It's a parent — or parents — standing before God and the church community and declaring: "We will raise this child in faith. We will point them to Jesus. We will do everything in our power to give them a foundation that lasts."
It is not a sacrament. It does not save your child. It is a covenant moment — between you, God, and your church family.
When you dedicate your child at Hue.Church, you're making three commitments:
We don't just celebrate the moment and move on. When your child is dedicated here, the church family commits too:
In the days before your dedication, consider:
Come forward during the service — You'll be invited to the front with your child.
A pastor prays over your child — Your child will be prayed over by name with the whole church family witnessing.
The congregation responds — The church family affirms their commitment to walk with your family.
We celebrate with you — Photos, a small memento, and a moment you'll never forget.
Connect with Hue Kids — Our team will follow up to make sure your child is plugged in and known.
