Building simple rhythms that shape your child's faith for a lifetime — no theology degree required.
The most significant influence on a child's faith isn't their pastor, their Sunday school teacher, or their friends. It's you. Research consistently confirms that the home is the primary place where faith is formed or forgotten.
Hue Kids exists to reinforce what starts at home. We handle Sunday mornings. But Monday through Saturday — that's yours. And you don't have to be a theologian. You just have to be present and intentional.
Start with just three practices. Small and consistent beats big and sporadic every time.
Daily Prayer Together — Pick one moment in your day — breakfast, bedtime, or the car ride — and pray together. Keep it short and honest. Let your kids hear you pray about real things: gratitude, fear, hope, trust. Invite them to pray in their own words, no script required.
Weekly Worship at Home — Church doesn't only happen at 10:30 AM on Sundays. Put on worship music during the week. Sing in the car. Let your kids know that worshipping God isn't about a building — it's a posture of the heart.
Intentional Conversations — Grab the lesson recap from Hue Kids each Sunday and ask your kids about it on the way home. Four questions that always work: "What did you learn today? What songs did you sing? What was your favorite part? How can we live out what you learned this week?"
Here's a simple structure you can try:
Monday — Pray together at dinner. Name one thing you're grateful for. / Wednesday — Read one Bible verse and talk about it for 5 minutes. / Friday — "Thankful Friday": each person names one way they saw God this week. / Sunday — Debrief Hue Kids on the drive home.
